What these terms don't cover

They don't cover project work. If we work together, the signed proposal (statement of work) governs that project. The project terms page is a plain-English summary of how I usually work, and the signed proposal wins if anything differs.

Using the site

You're welcome to read, link to and share pages from this site. Please don't:

• try to break, overload or get unauthorised access to the site or its server,
• use the forms to send spam, malware or anything unlawful,
• scrape the site in bulk or copy it to pass off as your own,
• pretend to be someone else when contacting me.

Prices, the estimator and quotes

The information on this site is general. Prices shown are starting prices, not offers I'm bound to accept. The estimator gives a rough range for planning; it isn't a quote. Nothing on the site creates a contract. A project only starts when we've both signed a written proposal.

Sample projects

The sample projects and screens on this site are concepts I built to show how this kind of system works. The companies, people and figures in them are fictional. They're not client jobs, and they don't describe the results of any real project.

Intellectual property

The text, design, code and graphics on this site are © Troy J Crowe, unless stated otherwise. Third-party names, such as software products mentioned on the site, are trademarks of their owners. Mentioning them doesn't mean they're affiliated with or endorse Courage Dev.

What you send me

When you use a form or email me, I handle what you send as described in the Privacy Policy. Please don't send confidential material through the site before we've agreed how to handle it. If you need to share something sensitive, ask and I'll set up a secure way to do it, or sign a mutual NDA first.

Notes are general information

The articles in Notes are general information based on how I approach things. They're not legal, tax or financial advice, and they don't take your specific situation into account. Talk to a qualified professional before acting on anything that matters.

Links to other sites

The site links to other websites now and then. I don't control them and I'm not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
